A non-governmental organization, Amitech Green Lion, has carried out a tree planting exercise and environmental sanitation and awareness campaign at Government Girls Secondary School, Kofar Wambai.

The exercise was organized by Amitech Green Lion in partnership with Bauchi State environmental protection agency BASEPA.
Highlighting the importance of collective responsibility in mitigating environmental hazards, the Director BASEPA, Mahmud Bose, appreciated Amitech for its foresight and contributions to put under control the current Climate change hazards.
He called on the benefiting School to take full ownership of the trees saying they are the immediate beneficiaries of the gesture.
Represented by Haruna Sulaiman, head of the Sanitary inspection, Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency, the DG used the medium and called on individuals to also contribute their quota in mitigating environmental hazards by engaging in environmental sanitation.
While speaking, the founder and CEO of Amitech Green Lion, Prince Aminu Adams, explained that this is the first community to benefit from the initiative under Amitech Green Lion with support from Eco-Pulse, a European-based company in Russia that advocates for environmental sanitation and protection.
Prince Aminu Adams urged the school management to work towards achieving the set objectives of the program.
He appreciates the partnership with Eco-Pulse Foundation and BASEPA, which he described their contributions as instrumental to the actualization of the programme.
On her part, the principal of Government Girls Secondary School Kofar Wambai, Mrs. Bakinsu Bala Ibrahim, expressed her appreciation to Amitech for the kind gesture, which she said will go a long way in keeping their environment clean and hygienic.

ents in the process.
